The Oklahoma City Zoo’s annual ZooBrew beer tasting event is fast approaching.
Tickets for the sixth edition of the event, set for 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, are going fast and attendance will be capped at 850 guests. (Tickets are $35 for ZooFriends members; $45 for non-members; and $10 for designated drivers.)

Is Edmond trying to stage its own version of H&8th?
Maybe not exactly, but a pretty-cool-sounding community event/street festival is set to debut in Edmond on Sept. 20.
That’s when the first Heard on Hurd is set at the corner of Broadway and Hurd.
On Friday 9/5 we will be open from 4-8pm and Saturday 9/6 we will be open from 12-5pm. We will be serving pints of Jaragua Pale Ale and Arbuckle Dark Ale for $4 and growler fills for $6 for 32 ounce fills and $12 for 64 oz fills.
On Friday 8/29 we will be open from 4-8pm and Saturday 8/30 we will be open from 12-5pm. Additionally on Satuday at 2pm we will be doing a tour, which is free to the public. We will be serving pints of Jaragua Pale Ale for $4 and growler fills for $7 for 32 ounce fills and $14 for 64 oz fills, tax inclusive.
Mark your calendars because this Sunday is the first day we will be offering 3.2 beer at the brewery. The beer offered is Jaragua Pale Ale. It has tons of citrus and tropical fruit notes and will not disappoint. Pints will be $4 and growler fills will be $7 for 32 oz fills or $14 for 64 oz & 2L fills. We will be open from 12-8 so there is plenty of time to swing by and get some beer. We will also be doing tours at 2pm and 4pm.
